A couple of things

I started off trying to do a lines plan . Was told that there would be no stability data on the plan because it wasn't generated . ---when I tried to compute the design hydrostatics , it then shut down Rhino without warning ( did this twice in a row ). -----So I tried a linesplan without the hydrostatics , and after making the stations , waterlines and butts that I thought that I wanted it made a nice looking linesplan , but there were a couple of waterlines through the deck that I thought would look better if they weren't there . -----I discovered that I could not trim them or delete them . ---The other thing that didn't look good on my linesplan was the text size for the station labels . there were a pile of numbers stacked on top of one another . Is there a way to edit the settings? ----Also what about weight properties ?
Thanks Mike Windsor

Mike:
I believe Larry has contacted you by email regarding the crash; we'd very much like to be able to reproduce that so we can fix the problem.
I'm not sure why trimming is not consistent in the Lines Plan view. I'm able to trim some curves, but not others. However, I have been able to delete curves without any problem. This is another case where it would be helpful to have the model that is having the problem.
There currently isn't a setting for the text size, but that is a logical thing to add. I'll put it on the list. You can go in and drag the labels and the leaders; select the label, and turn on Rhino control points. Then just drag one of the control points.
Weight and Cost properties will be in the release on Wednesday, including the ability to create a library of stock materials.
Thanks for all of your input.

I was playing around with my lines drawing again , I deleted the layer that had the orca sections on it ,the layers disapeared , but the lines did not disapear from the drawing . I then opened the orca 3d tree , and found that the objects were still there , but locked and off . ---When I tried to unlock them in the orca 3d tree Rhino shut down , and I got a message from windows error reporting telling me that the problem was caused by rhino liscence mannager . ----This was on the same file that I sent to Larry yesterday . -----I can turn the orca sections visibility off , but I can't figure out how to remove them permanently . ---Thanks Mike

Mike:
The Orca sections "belong" to Orca. While you can delete the curves, they are still in the list of sections, so whenever Orca determines that they need to be recomputed, they will show up again.
To delete them, select the surfaces and go back into the Sections menu and delete them there. Just right click on any individual section, or on "Stations", and select Remove. There is a chapter in the Help that covers this topic.
We'll look into the crashing behavior with the tree, but I'm beginning to suspect that this file has somehow become damaged (the Orca-specific data in it, that is).
Thanks,
Bruce
