Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had any tips for adjusting the frame of reference so that the UCS is located at the forward end of the DWL as opposed to the LOA.  All of my longitudinal centers are (I assume) based on a floating point in space, which I have trouble getting used to.

I could just move the whole model and get it close, but I wanted to check if there was a smarter way to do it first!

Cheers.

i assume you are referring to the cartesian origin of your model, as we used to do in the old days when drawing with pencils.
while an exact location can be computed and the model shifted so that its dwl ending is at 0,0,0 this is a little dangerous (perhas not trivial from a programming standpoint), since the end of the dwl will tend to move in space as you perfect your model, and the model will move with it.
unless you are using the dwl as a reference for everything in yuor model, you may risk getting things out of sinch

please let me know if i missed the point, or if i should further elaborate on the above
