OrcaViewports |
By default, Rhino displays four viewports; Top, Front, Perspective, and Right. The OrcaViewports command renames the viewports to Planview, Profile, Perspective, and Bodyplan, and implements the following optional behaviors (which are set in Orca3D Properties):
|
|
The OrcaViewports command has two options; Restore and SaveCurrent.
| • | Restores the viewports and settings back to the way they were the last time OrcaViewports was run with the option "SaveCurrent=yes" |
| • | If SaveCurrent=yes when OrcaViewports is run, the current viewports and settings are stored, and brought back the next time the command is run with the Restore option. |
The OrcaViewports icon is defined as follows:
| • | Left click: OrcaViewports is executed, with SaveCurrent=yes |
| • | Right click: OrcaViewports is executed with the Restore option |
With these settings, left-clicking and then right-clicking on the icon will toggle back and forth between your current layout and the OrcaViewports layout. Since the left-click will save your current viewport settings, if you left-click while you have the Orca Viewports displayed, you will be "stuck" in this mode. If this occurs, simply restore the default Rhino 4-view layout, by right-clicking on one of the viewport names (e.g., Profile, Perspective, etc.) and selecting Viewport Layouts -> 4 Viewports.
By default, the viewports look like the following:

In the following image, OrcaViewports has been invoked. Note that the viewports are renamed, the gradient is turned on, the control net culling has been enabled, and the bow is pointing to the right (notice that with control net culling on, the control points on the deck aren't visible in the perspective view and planview, and the control points in the forward half of the boat aren't visible in the bodyplan view).
